Christmas Sale Interview: Carolyn's Geek Boutique

Sales and events, FeatureAbby MightComment

As you should know by now, the annual Multi-Vendor Geeky Christmas Sale I host is underway! During the month of November, you can use the code XMAS16 at the participating shops for a discount. They're all handmade shops and sell some amount of geeky products. I've interviewed several of the shops so you can find out a little more about them. I love shopping handmade--you can know a little more about how it's made and the specific people involved in the process, as well as find items that are unique.

Today's shop:

What's your name?
Carolyn Poynter

In 1-2 sentences, how would you describe your shop?
I sell quality geeky baby items and do custom Embroidey! All items are hand made by myself. Don't see a fandom your looking for? Let me know!

You're at Starbucks. What do you order?
Grande Soy White Mocha with one pump Cinnamon Dulce

What's your preferred social media for your shop? Why?
I have a Facebook group that I love and I also love posting on Instagram.

Do you have your shop full time? Or do you do something else too?
I'm pretty much full time. I'm a stay at home mom so I work when I can. Sometimes that means staying up tell 2am.

Okay, so you're crafting. What do you have playing in the background?
If I do anything I play Disney music. But because I sew and do custom embroidery most of the time I can't hear much over my machines.

What's your favorite geeky product to make and why?
I mainly make bibs but I really want to start making more Aprons. I've only done them as custom orders.

What's your most underrated geeky product that you wish would sell more?
Drool pads for baby carriers. Though I don't have a lot premade because they don't sell well
