Let's get started! What's your name?
Shannon McMillan

How would you describe your shop?
My shop is full of unique and quirky items. I always endeavor to create kawaii, kitsch, geeky, fantastical, and fun pieces. I like to offer my customers something a little different and love to create something special for them.

How did you come up with your shop name?
I wanted something that reflected the independent creator frame of mind or DIY (indie) and also to represent a wide variety of items and take my customers on a bit of a journey (odyssey).

You're at Starbucks. What do you order?
I don't drink coffee at all, so Earl Grey or herbal tea.

Is your shop a full time job or do you do it on the side?
Yes, I do it full time.

What do you have playing in the background when you're crafting?
Usually I catch up on one of my favourite TV shows from the week or have my iPod playing some of my favourite tunes in the background.

What's your go-to snack for while you work?
I don't usually eat while I'm working--take breaks for that--but you will usually find a mug of tea nearby.

What's your favorite way to relax and unwind after a stressful day of work?
I don't find what I do stressful; I love creating. If I do need some relax or unwind time though, I will have a nice bath with a bath bomb, read a book, or watch a TV show or movie.

What's your favorite geeky product to make and why?
I love making my resin fandom hearts. I think it's because there are so many options for making them and they are a customer favourite. I have made many custom order ones.

What are you looking forward to the most for your business?
Expanding with lots of new creations and spreading the word about my creations even more.
